I’m a coder, a programmer, a software developer.

My job title is “software engineer”, which amuses me. Engineers build things that work and don’t fall down. If a piece of software was a bridge, would you walk across it?


Nonetheless, I strive to live up to the title. I would say that most of my professional life is spent trying to be an engineer: to consistently and quickly deliver results that are good—to build things that work well and do not fall down.

I’ve been in this game for a while: I’ve been a full time software developer since 2005, and since 2008 I find myself at Google. I love that I have a job that still challenges me after twenty years.

My single biggest professional interest has been the Dart programming language.
