"One could not be a successful scientist without realizing that, in contrast to the popular conception supported by newspapers and mothers of scientists, a goodly number of scientists are not only narrow-minded and dull, but also just stupid." -- J. D. Watson
C
What can one say about C?
Well, I started using it when poking around on our second-hand 286. I had a habit of trawling the hard disk for interesting programs and trying to figure out what they did...
I had absolutely no idea what Borland Turbo C was; in fact, I very nearly deleted it in order to reclaim some space. There were a few demo programs with it, however... and via those I very, very slowly figured out how it worked.
This probably shows somewhat in my coding style -- the early programs were rather incomprehensible. Indenting? What's that?...
These programs can be run, if you feel the need to run them, using DOSBox.
